1 Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and CamotesGO, operated by
IslaGO Technologies Inc. (“CamotesGO”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the
CamotesGO apps or website (camotesgo.com), you agree to these Terms
and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use CamotesGO.
2 The service
CamotesGO is a technology platform and marketplace for Camotes Island, Cebu that connects users
(“travelers”) with independent third-party providers offering rides, accommodations (“stays”), vehicle
rentals, food and errand services, and local stores, and that surfaces ferry schedule information.
We are an intermediary. CamotesGO helps you find and book services, but
the actual ride, stay, rental, delivery, meal or product is provided by the independent driver, host,
rental owner or store — not by CamotesGO. Your booking creates a direct contract between you and that
provider. CamotesGO is not a transport carrier, hotel, rental company or restaurant.
3 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use CamotesGO. By using the
service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate
and current.
4 Accounts & roles
You need an account to use most features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials
confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
One account can act in different roles — traveler, driver, stay host, rental owner or store owner.
Some roles (such as driver, host, rental owner or store) require registration and may be subject to
review, verification and approval by CamotesGO before you can accept bookings. We may decline, suspend
or revoke a role at our discretion, for example for policy or safety reasons.
5 Bookings, fees & payments
- Prices are set by the providers or by the applicable fare/fee rules shown in the app before you confirm.
- Payment methods include GCash, Maya and cash, depending on the service. You are responsible for paying the full amount for any booking you make.
- Platform & service fees. CamotesGO may charge a platform/service fee and may deduct a commission from partner earnings. Applicable fees are shown before you confirm or disclosed to partners; commission rates may be updated from time to time.
- Partner payouts. For bookings collected through the platform, partner earnings (net of commission and fees) are credited to the partner’s CamotesGO wallet and paid out to their nominated e-wallet or bank account upon withdrawal, subject to any minimum-withdrawal amount and processing time.
6 Partner obligations
If you offer services as a driver, host, rental owner or store, you agree to: provide accurate
listings and pricing; hold any licenses, permits, registrations and insurance required by law; honor
confirmed bookings; deliver services safely and lawfully; and treat travelers fairly. You are solely
responsible for your services, listings, tax obligations and compliance with local regulations.
7 Cancellations & refunds
Cancellation and refund terms depend on the service and the provider’s policy shown at booking.
Where a booking is prepaid and eligible for a refund, refunds are processed to the original method or
wallet. No-shows, late cancellations or violations may be non-refundable. Disputes should first be
raised with the provider; CamotesGO may assist in good faith but is not responsible for the provider’s
performance.
8 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break any law or use CamotesGO for fraudulent, harmful or dangerous purposes.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or endanger other users or providers.
- Post false, misleading, infringing or offensive content or listings.
- Interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Use the platform to circumvent fees, or scrape or misuse data of other users.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
9 Content & intellectual property
CamotesGO, the CamotesGO name and logo, the “Moti” mascot, and the app’s software, design and content
are owned by CamotesGO / IslaGO Technologies Inc. and protected by law. You may not use them without our
permission.
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as photos and listings) but grant CamotesGO a
non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and use that content as needed to
operate and promote the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content
you upload.
10 Disclaimers
CamotesGO is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or
implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the
service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that providers’ services will meet your
expectations. Ferry schedules and third-party information are provided for convenience and may change
without notice.
11 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CamotesGO and its operators are not liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for the acts, omissions or conduct of any
provider or user. Because CamotesGO is an intermediary, we are not responsible for the quality, safety,
legality or outcome of any ride, stay, rental, delivery, meal or product booked through the platform.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount of fees you paid
to CamotesGO for the transaction giving rise to the claim.
12 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CamotesGO and its operators from any claims, damages,
losses or expenses arising out of your use of the service, your content, your provision of services as a
partner, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
13 Termination
You may stop using CamotesGO and delete your account at any time (see the
Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you
violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or for other legitimate business reasons. Provisions
that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
14 Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. You agree that the courts of
Cebu, Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights
you may have under applicable law. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any
issue informally.
15 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the
“Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of
CamotesGO after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
